What’s Hare Krishna Movement?

Hare Krishna Movement is one of the most spiritual ambient places to visit in New Jersey. Since it’s inauguration in November 2017, the temple has been standing as a beacon of spirituality and service to mankind. Hare Krishna Movement is not visited just by spiritual seeker but also by those who are looking for peace, solace, volunteering opportunities, social service, away from the din and chaos of complex life.

The temple which is on the building of 18, 000 Sqft just next to Edison train station is well known for its serenity and vibrant festivals. The presiding Deities of the temple are the most enchanting, Sri Sri Radha Gopinath. Their beauty captivates the heart of every visitor and transfers him to the world of divine bliss. The Deities, the divinely surcharged ambience and a serene location away from the buzz and clamor of city life make Radha Gopinath Temple, ‘the place’ to search for true spiritual happiness. To make the experience all the more wholesome and fulfilling, the temple is replete with all the necessary facilities.

Purpose of Hare Krishna Movement

Srila Prabhupada founded Hare Krishna Movement in July of 1966. The incorporation document states Seven Purposes of Hare Krishna Movement

(1) To systematically propagate spiritual knowledge to society at large and to educate all peoples in the techniques of spiritual life in order to check the imbalance of values in life and to achieve real unity and peace in the world.

(2) To propagate a consciousness of Krishna as it is revealed in the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam.

(3) To bring the members of the Society together with each other and nearer to Krishna, the prime entity, and thus to develop the idea, within the members, and humanity, at large, that each soul is part and parcel of the quality of Godhead (Krishna).

(4) To teach and encourage the Sankirtan movement of congregational chanting of the holy name of God as revealed in the teachings of Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

(5) To erect for the members, and for society at large, a holy place of transcendental pastimes, dedicated to the personality of Krishna.

(6) To bring the members closer together for the purpose of teaching a simpler and more natural way of life.
